Lemonade In…

Three.

News flash small businesses have different needs from multinational corporations.

Having worked in the industry for over 15 years we noticed that the traditional process for building a website was better suited for large clients but was not serving small business owners.

Big business demands bureaucratic checks and balances but these steps are time consuming and expensive. Small business owners on the other hand are practical and result focused. Recognising the constant friction this difference in expectations caused, we went to work cutting all the unnecessary red tape.

It starts with a question

With that in mind, we started with a fresh canvas breaking down each step in the website building process. We wanted to remove as many burdens from our small business clients as possible.
From our experience we know that pressure starts almost immediately with the request for website content. Collecting logos, written content, imagery, competitors, website inspirations and the list goes on can feel overwhelming and takes time to compile. It puts the onus on clients and zaps the joy from the whole process.
We wanted to switch the roles up without taking away the ability for clients to provide as much information as they can. To that end, we request all the usual assets and nothing else. Logo, images and written content is all we ask for. If any of these aren’t available we will supply the rest.
As for the look and feel of the website, we take that responsibility head on with our catalogue of industry leading templates which take the guesswork out of the discovery phase. We select the perfect design for your industry and target audience, combined with the assets you already have while creating the rest so that we can build your website immediately without the stress of having to deliver everything up front.

Just because you can, doesn’t mean you should

It is easier than ever to build your own website using a multitude of powerful website builders.

One quick search online brings up almost too many choices to pick from. However, as the saying goes, just because you can do something doesn’t mean you should. The opportunity cost of learning how to build and maintain a website is often time well spent building the business.
That’s usually where agencies step in but that brings its own challenges. Complicated processes and custom solutions can often lead to questions being answered with questions and extended timelines which can leave you wishing you had learned to build the website yourself.

Lemons into lemonade

Enjoy the fruits of both worlds without the sour aftertaste with a solution that takes the best aspects of do-it-yourself templates with the agency know-how to develop timely and cost-effective websites that are built by us to grow your business from the bottom line up.

Fantastic to work with! We engaged Lemonade to complete an update on a website; and based on the results; and level of communication and professionalism, this evolved into the creation of a new website and additional works for our website pages. Thank you. It has been, and always is a pleasure to work with you. We definitely recommend 'Let's make lemonade'.
